In short
8 Américain : Duel (identifier com.sunderdev.huitamericain, on iPhone, iPad and Android) is played without creating an account. The game shows ads provided by Google AdMob: a banner on the home screen, videos you choose to watch for a reward and, from time to time, a full-screen ad after a game. The game does not sell any personal data and your progress stays on your phone.
Data kept on your device
The data the game needs is stored locally:
- your profile: username and declared age;
- level, game statistics and daily challenge;
- coins, gems, finishers, card backs and table cloths;
- any promo code you used;
- sound, music, vibration, graphics and language settings.
Your exact age never leaves your phone. This data is not sent to SUNDER DEV and is deleted if you uninstall the game or clear its data.
Online games
Online games and games with friends go through Unity Gaming Services (Authentication, Lobby and Relay), without any SUNDER DEV server. An anonymous sign-in creates a random identifier, with no name or email address. During a game, your username, the moves played and the emojis or phrases you send are passed to the other players through Unity’s servers; your device’s IP address is used by Unity to establish the connection. Don’t put your full name or any personal information in your username.
Remote settings
At launch, the game downloads settings provided by Unity Remote Config, to adjust the rules, balance or texts without an update. This download uses the anonymous Unity identifier and sends no profile data.
Game Center and Google Play Games
If you are signed in to Game Center (iPhone and iPad) or Google Play Games (Android, when this service is available in the game), the game links that account to your Unity identifier, so you keep your player identity on another device. Your player name may be suggested as your username; you are free to choose another one. These services are provided by Apple and Google and governed by their own terms.
Promo codes
A promo code is checked directly on your phone: it is not sent to SUNDER DEV or any other service. Only the fact that a code was used is counted, without the code itself, in the analytics described below.
Ads
Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show them, measure their performance and fight fraud, Google may process the device’s advertising identifier, the IP address (and therefore an approximate location), the device model and language, and your interactions with ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game shows Google’s consent form (UMP) at first launch: ads are personalized only if you accept; otherwise they stay non-personalized. You can change this choice at any time in the game’s Settings, “Ad privacy” button. On iPhone and iPad, the game asks for Apple’s tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency): if you decline, Apple’s advertising identifier is used by neither Google nor Meta, and you can change this choice in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete the advertising identifier in your phone’s settings. The “No ads” purchase removes the banner and full-screen ads. Data processed by Google is governed by Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and its rules on how partners use data (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
In-app purchases
The game offers a “No ads” purchase, coin and gem packs and a special finisher. Apple or Google processes the payment: SUNDER DEV never receives your banking information. RevenueCat displays the products, validates the purchase, prevents fraud and gives you what you bought. In this context, the purchase history and a random anonymous identifier are processed. The game does not ask for your name or email address.
Meta ad measurement
The game may be advertised on Facebook and Instagram. To know which ads bring new players, it includes the software development kit (SDK) of Meta Platforms Ireland. It only starts if you are at least 16 (age in your profile) and, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, only if you accepted storing information on the device and ad performance measurement in the consent form. It then sends Meta: the installation and opening of the game, games won, purchases, revenue from ads shown, as well as the device’s advertising identifier (on iPhone and iPad, only if you allowed tracking), the device model, language and system version and the IP address. Meta uses this to measure and improve our campaigns; this data contains neither your username, nor your age, nor your name. You can withdraw your consent at any time with the “Ad privacy” button in Settings. This data is governed by Meta’s privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy).
Analytics (Google Analytics)
To understand how the game is used and improve it, the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google. It measures: installation, launches and play time, screens viewed and buttons tapped, how games go (mode, number of players, result, duration), in-app purchases, coins and gems earned and spent, ads viewed, promo code use, chosen settings and game errors. Google also receives a random installation identifier, an age range (for example “18-24”, never your exact age), the device model, language and system version, and the IP address, from which it only derives an approximate location (country, city) without storing it. These measurements contain neither your username nor your name. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, until you have answered the consent form, or if you decline, Google Analytics only receives signals without identifiers or cookies, which cannot recognize you; full measurement only starts if you accept storing information on the device, and advertising data is only used if you accepted the advertising purposes. Under 13 (age in your profile), or if you declined tracking on iPhone, no advertising data is used. You can change this choice at any time from the game’s Settings. This data is governed by Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
Sharing a screenshot
The “Share my win” button creates a screenshot of the end-of-game screen and opens it with a message in your phone’s share menu. Nothing is sent until you choose an app yourself (messaging, social network…); sharing is then governed by that app’s terms.
Service providers
Processing carried out by Apple (App Store, Game Center), Google (Google Play, Play Games, AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase), Meta, RevenueCat and Unity is also governed by their own privacy policies.
Permissions
The game uses the device’s sound and vibrations, and an internet connection for ads, purchases and online games. It does not ask for access to the microphone, contacts, photos or location.
Children
The game requires no account and does not knowingly collect personal data about children. The age asked in the profile stays on the phone and is used to turn off personalized advertising and Meta measurement for younger players. In-app purchases remain subject to the settings and authorization of the Apple or Google account used on the device.
Your rights and contacting us
The app is published by Ahmed Sanoko, SUNDER DEV. For any privacy question or to exercise an applicable right (access, rectification, erasure, objection), write to contact@sunderdev.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority) or your local authority.
Delete your data
Data stored on your device is deleted when you uninstall the game. To also delete the anonymous identifier held by Unity and its link to Game Center or Google Play Games, write to contact@sunderdev.com with your username. Deletion is done within 30 days and a confirmation is sent to you. Purchase history is kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat according to their legal obligations.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the game’s features or providers change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
